Clutch release bearing function
The clutch release bearing is installed between the clutch and the transmission, and the release bearing seat is loose sleeved on the tubular extension part of the first shaft bearing cover of the transmission. Through the release bearing, the release lever can rotate while moving along the axial direction of the clutch output shaft, so as to ensure that the clutch can be smoothly engaged, gently separated, and wear reduced, and extend the use of the clutch and the whole transmission system life.
Broken performance of release bearin
If the release bearing fails, we will lightly step on the clutch pedal after the engine starts. When the free stroke is just eliminated, there will be a "rustle" or "squeak" sound. Continue to step on the clutch pedal. If the sound disappears, it is not the release bearing problem. If there is still a sound, it is the release bearing sound.
Does the release bearing make abnormal noise and not repair
Clutch release bearing is an important part of the car. Under normal conditions, its service life is the same as that of the clutch assembly. However, in case of failure, in addition to the cause of poor lubrication (DIY is OK), the maintenance factory directly recommends replacement, and it needs to be disassembled and disassembled in a rather troublesome way, which will cost a lot of labor. If the abnormal noise problem affects the normal driving, it needs to be repaired, unless you want to experience the fear of driving every day.
