Causes of Clutch Separation Bearing Damage and Attentions

The separation bearing is subjected to axial load, impact load and radial centrifugal force when rotating at high speed. In addition, because the thrust of fork and the reaction force of separation lever are not in the same line, the torsional moment is also formed. Clutch separating bearing has poor working conditions, intermittent high-speed rotation and high-speed friction, high temperature, poor lubication and no cooling conditions.

Clutch separating bearing is an important part of automobile. If it fails in maintenance, it will not only cause economic losses, but also cause a lot of trouble in disassembly and assembly, which will take a lot of time. Therefore, it is of great significance for prolonging the life of separating bearing, improving labor productivity and achieving better economic benefits to find out the causes of failure of separating bearing of clutch and to maintain and maintain it reasonably in use.

Clutch separating bearing should move flexibly, without sharp noise or sticking phenomenon, its axial clearance should not exceed 0.60 mm, and the wear of inner ring should not exceed 0.30 mm. If the clutch separation bearing fails to meet the above requirements, it will be regarded as a failure. After the failure occurs, it is necessary to determine which kind of phenomenon belongs to the damage of the separation bearing. The damage of clutch separating bearing is closely related to the driver's operation, maintenance and adjustment. The causes of the damage are as follows:

1. Too little free travel or too many loads

According to the requirement, the clearance between the separating bearing and the separating lever is 2.5 mm, which is reflected in the free travel of 30-40 mm on the clutch pedal. If the free travel is too small or there is no free travel at all, the separating lever and the separating bearing will be in a normal engagement state. According to the fatigue failure principle, the longer the working time of the bearing, the more serious the damage; the more times the bearing is loaded, the easier the fatigue failure of the separated bearing will occur. Moreover, the longer the working time is, the higher the temperature of the bearing is, the easier it is to burn out, and the service life of the separating bearing is reduced.

2. Overheating occurs when working temperature is too high

When turning or decelerating, many drivers often half-step the clutch, some of the rear feet of the gears are still on the clutch pedal; some vehicles adjust their free travel too much, which makes the clutch incompletely separated and in a semi-engagement and semi-separation state. This state causes dry friction and generates a lot of heat transfer to the separation bearing, which is heated to a certain temperature, butter melting or dilution flow. Flow, so that the separation bearing temperature is furher increased, when the temperature reaches a certain degree, it will burn out.

3. Wear due to lack of lubricant

Clutch separating bearings are lubricated with butter. There are two ways to add butter. For 360111 separating bearings, the back cover of the bearing should be opened and filled with grease during maintenance or when the transmission is removed, and then the back cover can be re-assembled. For 788611K separating bearings, it can be dismantled and put into melted grease to soak, then removed after cooling, to achieve lubrication. Objective. In practical work, drivers tend to overlook this point, resulting in oil shortage of clutch separation bearings. In the case of no lubrication or less lubrication, the wear of separated bearings is often several times to tens of times as much as that of lubricated bearings. With the increase of wear and tear, the temperature will also be greatly increased, which makes it easier to damage.

In addition to the above three reasons, whether the separation lever is adjusted smoothly and whether the return spring of the separation bearing is good also has a great impact on the damage of the separation bearing. Secondly, attention should be paid to:

A. Pay attention to maintenance. When checking and maintaining regularly or annually, soak butter with cooking method so that it has sufficient lubricant.

B. Adjust the free travel so that it meets the requirements (30-40 mm) to prevent excessive or small free travel.

C. Minimize the number of joints and separations and reduce the impact load.

D. According to the operation regulations, avoid clutch semi-engagement and semi-separation, and reduce the number of clutch use.

F. Attention should be paid to leveling the clutch separation lever to ensure that the elastic force of the return spring meets the requirements.

G. Easy to tread and smooth to engage and separate.
